This epitaph of a woman name Severa is from the Catacomb of Priscilla. The inscription reads In Deo Vivas, “May you live in God.” On the stone is a scene of the adoration of the Magi, the first Christian symbol for the Nativity. The figure standing to the right is Joseph pointing to Mary, although some have theorized that it may be the prophet Balaam pointing to the star (Numbers 24:17).
